It was due to Courtney's attention to detail and outstanding care that she was kept comfortable and died with dignity. She not only cared for my mom but for our whole family as well as we grieved, giving us time to process what had just happened.
My mom was at Sherman Hospital. Courtney was her nurse in October 2023. Courtney was pulled in a million directions on Friday, a very busy day/evening. It was just incredible watching her do her job. She was so calm, efficient, warm, caring and professional. I was amazed at how she was able to do everything, while still making my mom feel like she was her only patient. She tended to her every need. Courtney had contacted me in the morning Friday to let me know when the doctor would be there and that he wanted me to be there. Friday was a tough day for us as my mom took a turn for the worse and we were told my mom was getting very weak and wouldn't be able to hang on much longer. Courtney was there for me and my family that day as we got that difficult news. She couldn't have been more caring and compassionate. We knew my mom was in good hands again on Saturday when Courtney was there with us again. We trusted her and her top-notch care. She was so warm and friendly, we felt like we knew her for much longer than a day and a half.
Sadly, on Saturday afternoon, my mom was receiving comfort care, and Courtney carried out our wishes and made my mom her top priority. Just a few short hours later, my mom passed peacefully. It was due to Courtney's attention to detail and outstanding care that she was kept comfortable and died with dignity. She not only cared for my mom but for our whole family as well as we grieved, giving us time to process what had just happened. This was the first death I've been a part of, and I can say, because of Courtney, it was easier to accept because she passed so peacefully. Thank you, Courtney, from the bottom of my heart, for truly making a difference in the last two days with my mother. My entire family was very appreciative and impressed with your level of care. God Bless You.
