My son was brought in with multiple gunshot wounds. He was given less than 5% chance of survival. Courtney is a very professional and qualified ICU nurse. What sets her apart is the tremendous compassion and empathy she showed my son. She addressed him by name in a very soothing, warm voice. She was so kind and gentle. She went above and beyond her nursing requirements. My son celebrated his birthday while in the TSICU. She decorated his room with balloons and banners. What a way to celebrate his life! I had such confidence in leaving my son in her very capable, compassionate hands. Courtney was our first exposure to the nurses here at Banner. We have been here 3+ weeks, and her care for my son still stands out. She answered every question I had with so much knowledge and patience. I was scared, confused, and emotional. Courtney helped me through the initial rollercoaster ride.
