CPT Crow acted as a dedicated nurse and patient advocate during her patient's delivery. For 6 hours her patient stayed at 8cm and was not progressing at all. At this time the OB suggested a C-section. CPT Crow suggested 2 more hours in order to attempt a series of regular and frequent position changes that she learned in her training. After 2 hours the patient delivered and had a successful vaginal delivery.
Her expertise and advocacy assisted her patient in having a successful delivery and avoided the many risks and complications of a C-section. As a fellow nurse, her quick thinking, advocacy, and expertise are truly inspirational.
