Craig had an incredible catch where he noted that a patient with severe flank pain could potentially be pregnant. He communicated efficiently and immediately, noting that this was a true emergency. The patient was re-evaluated with a bedside ultrasound and found to be in labor with a full-term baby, unknowingly. The OB team was immediately activated, and after evaluating the patient in the trauma bay, they escorted the patient safely to L&D to deliver a healthy baby girl. Surprise! Way to advocate for your patient, Craig, and trust that "gut feeling" that something else might be going on. You amaze me!
