My husband, who is a right above-knee amputee with chronic pain, was admitted to the rehabilitation hospital on Rock Road following a stroke. Craig's care and compassion were outstanding among the several nurses who cared for my husband. They all asked him what else they could do for him, but Craig went beyond that, seeking and suggesting ways to make him more comfortable. He was also very conscientious with the timely delivery of pain medications and often lightened the mood with humor at appropriate times! My husband's 69th birthday came up, and Craig entered his room that morning carrying an angry man Beanie Baby. He said it was to match the angry man in the bed. They brought in a dozen decorated cupcakes and hung a sign on his door. We greatly appreciated the thoughtful gesture and the humor in this. I wish I could upload the photo. Craig is a wonderful nurse, and we hope to honor his efforts with this award.
