My son was in the ER for a broken arm he sustained during football practice. He was in some pain but mostly upset because he didn't get a chance to play a game yet. Craig not only took care of his pain, he lifted his spirits as well. Craig asked him questions about his medical history, medications, football, and other things. He included him in the assessment. This is the 3rd time Craig has been our nurse and every time he has made our unpleasant experience to the hospital as pleasant as they could be. I also feel that Craig deserves the DAISY Award because nurses are important educators in the community and he was educating us from the moment we got there. Craig had a way of educating both my son and me without making us feel stupid. He involved us in the education process. He is a valuable asset to not only Genesis but the nursing field!
