It is with great appreciation and admiration that I nominate Craig for this award. As someone who recently joined the Emergency department, I’ve had the opportunity to witness firsthand just how impactful one nurse can be—not only in patient care, but in uplifting an entire team. Despite the constant pace and pressure of the ED, Craig always finds time to explain, demonstrate, and guide. His willingness to teach—even in the midst of a demanding shift—sets him apart. He doesn’t just show you how to do something; he ensures you understand the “why” behind it. And what’s truly remarkable is that each time I return to perform the same task on my next patient, I do so with confidence—because of what Craig showed me. I nail it. That feeling of success and growth, rooted in his support, has boosted not only my skills but also my confidence and pride in being part of this team. Craig exemplifies what it means to be a team player, a mentor, and a role model. His leadership by example fosters a culture of excellence, trust, and mutual respect in the department. I am sincerely grateful to work alongside him, and I can think of no one more deserving of this recognition.
