Cricket showed outstanding care, compassion and comfort to a family whose baby had died prior to delivery. After her shift, instead of going home, Cricket went to the store and purchased cloth to use as a backdrop for taking pictures of the baby, as well as purchasing a CD for download. The mother delivered the baby about 5 hours after Cricket's shift ended, however Cricket returned to the unit to take pictures of the baby for the family. In addition, she also edited and downloaded the pictures. Cricket was not required to come back to the hospital to take those pictures, nor was she asked. She realized the importance those pictures would be to the family and the comfort they would bring in the coming days. Cricket freely provided her care, compassion, and comfort to that family during an extremely difficult and emotional time.

Cricket went above and beyond her duties to make sure that our difficult time was eased to allow our grieving process. She took her own time and money to present a precious gift for my daughter and son-in-law to cherish as time and healing come. Our stay, our journey was one of care and compassion and gave dignity to our baby.
