I am writing to nominate Crissy as her friend, colleague and past classmate. I have known her for a long time. We actually graduated from nursing school together in 1995. Crissy has always been exceptional. She has always been focused, highly motivated and shows dedication to the nursing profession. Crissy has always shown compassion and the highest standard of care to her patients. Crissy demonstrates Eskenazi values in her daily interactions. Her dedication is inspiring. I have been with Eskenazi for 5 years and Crissy has been a great mentor to me throughout my time here. She is a very busy person and always takes the time to help when I have questions or need someone to talk to. She isn't my direct leader, but she is my skip-level leader. I couldn't ask for a better leader for the Risk department and wouldn't be where I am without her guidance over the last 5 years. Crissy is the Chief of Risk Management and governs my department. I and my department have for many years focused on patient safety, many of the improvements around this process have been due in part to the support and leadership Crissy provides. We do not provide any direct care or generate any revenue for the organization, still Crissy recognizes the value and dedication of our department. She always makes time, is willing to listen and gives outstanding guidance. Crissy Lough as Eskenazi Health's Chief Risk Officer exemplifies how nurse leaders at Eskenazi provide compassionate care that assures equity for all. Beginning her health care career in another profession, she has been committed to how she provides the structure and processes to support the community, the patients, the volunteers, the staff, and our providers. She leads fearlessly, always trying to the right thing for the most people.

Thank you, Crissy, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
