I can't even put into words how much this young lady means to us. When my husband's non-lymphoma returned after living 10 years in remission, we were referred to Dr. M's clinic for consultation for the Car T-cell therapy.
Initially my insurance refused to pay for the treatment, but Crissy was able to get it approved after numerous phone calls. I will forever be grateful to her for all the extra time she spent working with me.
Crissy stayed in constant contact with us prior to going to your health system because my husband was in the hospital [in Arkansas] for 30 days after contracting the flu following a chemo treatment.
We had to cancel countless appointments because of his lengthy hospital stay, and Crissy remained kind and patient throughout the whole process of just trying to get to Kansas City. It is very apparent she is passionate about her job and she loves her patients.
Once we arrived in Kansas for our consultation, we fell in love with Crissy. Not only is she beautiful, but she is also kind, loving and compassionate. She was very informative of the treatment he was going to receive and walked us through every procedure and process that would take place. We had a million questions that she always answered with kindness.
After my husband received his t-cells, he was sent to ICU from the side effects. We were alone in Kansas with no family remotely close. With every text or phone call I would make to her she calmed my fears. Just to hear her voice and answer my questions made me feel better.
She made visits to the hospital, called to check on my husband daily and even went to the store for me. She was a Godsend, especially during the difficult days. Crissy will never truly know what she means to us. She will forever hold a special place in our hearts and touched our lives in a way that is indescribable.
We may be far apart in miles, but I think of her often and remember what an impact she has made in our lives. It takes a special person to do what she does.
She, along with the doctors, were so good to us. We were not cancer-free after the treatment, but my husband is still alive, and we owe our wonderful care to the knowledge of the team for helping us to get through such a difficult time in our lives.
I have never come across a nurse with such professionalism, knowledge, and sincere love for her job! She is simply amazing, and we adore her!
