I would first like to say that all of my nurses were wonderful and provided the best care I could have asked for while I was there. With that being said, one nurse stood out to my husband and me and we wanted to recognize her for being such an incredible nurse. Cristi, who works in mother baby, portrays what being a nurse is all about. She is caring, knowledgeable, compassionate, and patient. It was our last day in the hospital and my husband and I were anxious to go home with our new baby. We were both tired and I was still in a lot of pain from my procedure. Cristi was very thorough with her explanations of care with our new baby. I am a first-time parent and there is some added anxiety that comes along with that. I feel that Cristi was very conscious of me as not only as a patient but also as a person. Her confidence and warmth in explanation and reassurance was refreshing and provided comfort to me and my husband. To not only provide answers to our many questions but to do it in a way that exudes kindness is much appreciated. It was easy to see that Cristi is genuine in her patient care and that nursing is more than a job to her. Our Southview experience was unforgettable and excellent and the service and care that Cristi provided to us was a huge part of that.
