I was rushed to St. Luke’s on July 11th with severe pain in my abdomen. They were not sure what was going on with me, when I was put under but I needed emergency surgery for a perforation to my colon. When I awoke, I was horrified to be connected to all the tubes and breathing/drains, etc. Needless to say, I was very scared and somewhat traumatized. Cristina went out of her way to talk with me and calm me down. I was nearly ready to check myself out of the hospital and run for the hills! If it wasn’t for Cristina and her kind words of understanding and encouragement, I’m not sure what would have happened. She is the best. She was truly sent to me from above!
