Cristina Matei, BSN, RN
I knew Cristina was a special person and an outstanding nurse from the moment I met her. First of all, she demonstrates that she’s people-oriented which is an important quality for a nurse to have, and secondly that she’s dedicated to her work and a true professional. I remember one time when I asked her what to expect for my care at Illinois Masonic and she went through the steps in a way that gave me confidence that I was in “good hands”. This is one of many stories I could tell about her fine work. This was the first time I was a patient in a hospital, so I had many questions to ask and again Cristina had the answers which gave me hope for the time ahead. I also noticed that she not only interacts well with other patients but with her co-workers too. Cristina is a real plus for the nursing profession and for Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center!
