I was paralyzed with pain when admitted to the hospital, and an unknown autoimmune disease was attacking my body. I was scared; I couldn't stand, sit up, roll over in bed, or hold a spoon to feed myself, frozen from pain. Crystal spent time with me, providing comfort, even just talking to me about her kids and my grandkids and keeping me informed. She made me feel more than just a patient and tried so hard to keep my mind off of the hours passing in pain. I appreciate Crystal so much for never hesitating on my requests for anything. I spent a week hospitalized. And I will remember how much she knew what to do, and I didn't have to ask. I was scared, but when she explained the medication, diagnosis, and treatment to me, I became more positive about my future. I got reassurance from her saying, "Oh my gosh, you're doing so so much better, I can see it. You're so much better than yesterday." Even if I didn't see any difference, I so appreciated the words of encouragement. She didn’t work on Sunday Mother’s Day, but she took the time to call me to wish me a happy Mother's Day. That was wonderful.
