Mr. G had severe CAD and was told he needed to have open heart surgery in 24 hours. He told Crystal his wedding anniversary was the next day – the day of his surgery. Mr. G wanted to get his wife something, but couldn’t since he was in the hospital. Crystal reached out to her manager and coordinated getting a gift, flowers, and balloons from the gift shop. The next day she gave the patient the gifts so he could wish his wife a happy anniversary. Mr. G surprised his wife, and she was overwhelmed. Mrs. G sent a thank you note, saying it made sitting in the waiting room on their anniversary a lot calmer.
