My surgery was scheduled at the Gainesville Outpatient Surgery. That week in particular had been stressful for me as not only did I have an infection in my left breast, but my normally high blood pressure had been extremely low. I suffer from severe anxiety, panic attacks, and agoraphobia now as well as numerous physical diseases and conditions. Crystal was compassionate, pleasant, knowledgeable, answered my questions, and was calming and caring about my severe nervousness with my upcoming anesthesia experience. Showing concern and remaining calm is much different than being in a panic and alarming your patient. Crystal had me calm and ready to head to the OR with confidence in my anesthesiologist and medical team. She turned a gloom and doom situation in my head into a calm experience for a surgery that I definitely needed.
