December 2024 Honoree
Crystal Gividen, RN
I am nominating Crystal for the DAISY Award. She is not only compassionate to her patients and families, but she is also a wonderful team player.
On more than one occasion, Crystal has helped out in the preop/pacu area. One day, Crystal brought a post-Cath patient out to be recovered. She could tell that we were really busy, and she volunteered to stay in our area to recover the patient for us. On Friday, we had a really busy day, and we needed to send staff to the ICU to recover, but that particular day, we had 3 RNs call in and we were trying to plan on who to send to ICU to recover Cath patients, Crystal again volunteered to ICU to recover the first 4 Cath patients, which was a huge help. Crystal checks on our department when the Cath Lab is slow and has reached out to me about training in our area, when the Cath Lab is slow so she can help out more. Crystal is a true team player, and she is greatly appreciated.
