I would like to nominate Crystal for the DAISY Award in recognition of her exceptional compassion and dedication to patient care. Recently, Crystal went far above and beyond for a patient who did not have insurance and was facing significant barriers to obtaining necessary medical equipment.
Rather than allowing those limitations to impact the patient's recovery and safety, Crystal took it upon herself to find a solution. On her own time, she went to local Goodwill stores to locate essential items such as a walker and shower chair.
Crystal's actions exemplify the true spirit of nursing, advocacy, empathy, and unwavering commitment to doing what is right for her patients. She did not just provide care; she changed this patient's experience in a meaningful way.
Her selflessness and dedication inspire her colleagues and powerfully remind them of the difference one nurse can make. She truly deserves the DAISY Award.
