Crystal was so friendly, caring, and kind to my mom, sister, and me from the first day she came on shift.
Crystal cared for my mother while she was taken off the vent for comfort measures to begin. Crystal was so friendly, caring, and kind to my mom, sister, and me from the first day she came on shift. She explained everything to us step by step. I never had to ask her to wash my mom's face or eyes as she did this at least once or twice a day. She provided mouth care and went above and beyond to help her be more comfortable. She is one of the hardest working nurses we've met and believe she is so deserving of this award. She is everything and more of what a nurse should be. My sister, my mom, and I thank her from the bottom of our hearts. In addition to all the caring things above, once mom was moved out of ICU to the 4th floor, she came to check on her once her shift ended. She helped me pull her up in bed and get her settled and even gave us both a much-needed hug all before she left for her home after working a 12-hour shift.
