The ICU is a very overwhelming place. But Crystal made sure we were all taken care of- and she did it in the most loving and caring way. Crystal kept us informed and answered our hundreds of questions with compassion and care. She sensed our world had been rocked, and she offered support by listening to us. Crystal guided us through the day of what was going to occur and how we could best support our Mom. It was a relief to have her navigate with us. When Mom was extubated and taken off sedation, it was Crystal whom she saw first. Mom said, "She was so sweet to me and smiled to help keep me calm because I was so scared."
