February 2026 Honoree
Crystal Seboe, BSN, RN
In October 2024, while deployed, I sustained injuries resulting from a motor vehicle accident (MVA). Over the course of my recovery, I received treatment from multiple medical facilities across Europe and the United States, with the Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Clinic at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center serving as the final inpatient facility in my treatment journey. I was officially discharged from Walter Reed in January 2025. Shortly after my discharge, I received a call from Ms. Crystal Seboe, who introduced herself as my assigned Nurse Case Manager from Byars Health Clinic at Fort Bragg, NC.
From that very first interaction, Ms. Seboe demonstrated exceptional compassion, empathy, and professionalism. She clearly outlined the post-discharge care plan designed by Walter Reed and assured me she would oversee its execution and remain closely involved every step of the way. Throughout my ongoing recovery, which has involved coordination with various specialists—including Pain Management, Physical Therapy, Neurology, and more—Ms. Seboe has been nothing short of extraordinary. She has personally handled the scheduling of all my medical appointments, facilitated timely medication refills, and collaborated with TRICARE to ensure I received the necessary medical equipment. Navigating the healthcare system can be overwhelming, especially during a vulnerable time, but Ms. Seboe made the process seamless and manageable.
What truly sets Ms. Seboe apart is her unwavering dedication and consistency. She maintained daily contact with me, not only to track my medical progress but also to provide emotional support, reassurance, and encouragement. Her holistic approach to patient care—balancing medical expertise with genuine compassion—has made a profound difference in my healing journey. I can say without hesitation that Ms. Seboe has been the most competent, caring, and committed healthcare professional I have ever encountered. Her efforts have had a direct and positive impact on my recovery. It is no exaggeration to say that she singlehandedly managed the majority of my care, and I truly do not know what I would have done without her.
For these reasons, I strongly believe Crystal Seboe is more than deserving of formal recognition and commendation. Her exemplary service as a Registered Nurse and Case Manager reflects the highest standards of military healthcare, and she should be considered for any and all awards that honor exceptional patient care, leadership, and commitment to service.
