Crystal went above and beyond while caring for a patient in the ICU. This patient was recently extubated, did not feel well, and was very worried he was about to pass. He called the nurse into the room and asked her to write a "last letter" to his wife of many years. He wanted to tell her he loved her and that he was thankful for his life with her. He also wanted to tell her some last-minute things. She wrote the letter for him. The next morning, this patient was in tears over how thoughtful and caring the nurse was. She took time out of her busy night to do something so important for him. He truly didn't know if he would live another night, so this last act of kindness meant so much to the patient.
