We cannot say thank you enough to the entire staff, the communication among nurses and doctors, and staff was impeccable. We like to thank the entire staff but there are three wonderful individuals who really stood out.
Ellie, our night nurse, helped my wife tremendously and was very professional and polite, my wife was exhausted, and Ellie went above and beyond to help all three of us.
Lisa was absolutely amazing, she was polite and professional and we just felt like she was a member of the family, she had an amazing bedside manner, she is amazingly personable and went above and beyond the call of duty to help us.
Stephanie was absolutely amazing, even being pregnant she went above and beyond to make us feel like we were at home. She just felt like on the family as well. She was nothing but smiles the whole time.
I could write a 10-page email with individual instances where these three individuals shined, you definitely have a great group.

I needed a bigger page to express what the whole unit has done for our family. We have been here for seven weeks and nearing the end of our stay here, while being here we have met a lot of amazing people. The RNs helped save my daughter's life, and I know they were just doing their jobs and I am thankful they are great at their jobs. It's the fact every single one of them on days or nights has been there for us every step of the way. They were all there for a shoulder to cry on when we had no idea what was going on with our daughter. They were all there for when we had questions and help put our minds at ease. As A got better and off sedation and was moody, they were all ok with her screaming at them because they were just relieved she was awake and responsive.
Some of the RNs and the secretary would bring us coffee because they understand A wasn't comfortable with us leaving her side. The RNs and the patient care support would stop by her room to check in on her progress, give us words of encouragement. Some would come to her room and play with A even if they weren't her nurse if I had to step out for a moment. A got so used to getting her vitals taken she would help them with her temperature, blood pressure and tell them which medicine was beeping that they started calling her doctor Millie, in which led to Magda making her a doctor badge and child life bringing her a doctor outfit. A loved it and walked around the halls showing it off. The RNs brought in Easter eggs and hid them in her room and around the hallway for A to find. When the flu restriction got lifted I had two nurses run to our room to tell me so that A's brother could come to visit. The day he got to visit we had nurses outside our door watching them reunite after seven weeks.
Not only did they take care and love A they made sure my husband and myself were doing ok mentally and physically. If they knew I just needed to vent and cry they were there, they made sure I ate and got sleep, when times got hard they sat with A during her withdrawal meltdowns while I stepped out for a moment. I personally would not have made it mentally without them. This is why I am nominating the whole unit. They have all done something special to help our family these past seven weeks and I cannot thank them enough. My family has been through hell and back but these men and women have made it bearable.
