My grandfather was extremely ill, and we were unsure if he was going to make it. He rallied and improved, all the while Cyndi still showing amazing care. When the worst happened and death was imminent, Cyndi continued to stay with us, never leaving, and still providing extraordinary care.
My eight-year-old niece, who struggled with the death, went up and hugged Cyndi and asked her to take care of her grandpa. Without hesitation, Cyndi hugged her back, kissed her forehead, and told her she would take care of him like he was her own grandfather. This gave her a little peace. Losing this man has been the heartache of my life and this family. I am aware this is not always easy, but she handled it with grace and respect. My grandfather loved Cyndi as do we.
