I would give her 6 thumbs up if I had 6 thumbs.
My wife was diagnosed in 2020 with Merkle cell lymphoma cancer. We went down to the cancer center and then they sent her to St. Joseph Medical Center. She went through radiation treatment and infusion for two years. A year ago, in January, she was clear. From January to October of 2023, she was fine. Then, suddenly, she started to bleed through her urine. They did a scan. They found a mass, and she immediately started chemo. She went through one unit and then the second unit and then they stopped because she was bleeding so bad they had to do an infusion. Eventually, she was sent to the hospital, and on top of all that she had, she had pneumonia and COVID. She then came home, and she had problems with the mass as it continued to grow. They attempted to relieve the mass using various methods. She was then admitted into the hospital in the Fall, roughly 42 days, and then in January of 2024, we decided that it was time to go on hospice. Cyndy was her nurse, and all the people from hospice were outstanding. But never in my lifetime did I think I would be giving my wife morphine or diapers. But Cyndy was very good to us. Even the day that she passed was Sunday at 1:25 pm, and it was sunny and it was a remarkable day, but a sad day. But Cyndy was there, and I would give her 6 thumbs up if I had 6 thumbs.
