July 2018 Honoree
cynthia benavidez, LPN
Cynthia organized a clothing drive for one of her patients that she recognized as possibly being in need. She realized that every time this patient came in for an office visit he was wearing the same clothes, shoes and socks. No matter the season or the weather and often the clothes were soiled. She spoke to the patient's caseworker and inquired about his needs. Did he need food, clothes, etc. and the social worker said he could use some clothes and provided sizes. Cynthia collected among her team members gently used clothes and took up a collection but other needed items. The office collected or purchased shirts, shorts, pants, shoes, socks, and undergarments for the patient. Five large bags of items were collected/purchased in total. Cynthia's attention to detail and going above and beyond her role as a LPN make us all extremely proud and honored to work with such a caring individual.
Thank you, Cynthia, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
