I was newly diagnosed with cancer. On the first day of my infusion, I was extremely nervous as I have a great fear of needles. Cindy was so very nice and understanding of my fear. Her kindness, compassion, and empathy to not only myself but to my family touched my heart. She went beyond the scope of care, treating me as she would her own mother. She made me feel like I was her only patient, taking the time to talk me through every step prior to treating me. Her day was busy, though she made every single person feel as if they were her only patient. 

Her demeanor calmed me, her voice comforted me, and her knowledge and caring were like no other. Needless to say, she far exceeded my expectations and made what I thought would be a terrifying day into one in which I felt loved and so very cared for. The compassion she showed reached far beyond the parameters of care. She is an exceptional nurse who truly loves serving. 

My wish for her is to know how much the care she so unselfishly gives matters to each and every one of us. She stands as a beacon of love and hope to all those who come to MetroHealth for care.
