I came in as a QVN to the RAC unit. I was unfamiliar with the unit, the difference in charting, and where things were located. Cynthia took the time to help me find things, show me where to chart, and introduced me to the other staff members. On one of the last nights that I worked, we were extremely busy on the RAC side and there was a nurse on the COVID side who had never been to the unit before. Cynthia literally ran between the two sides to help the other nurse and jumped in to do all of the tasks that were assigned for the RAC patients. She didn't hesitate to ask for another nurse when another was needed. Her knowledge and expertise have been invaluable to me in a new unit and answering any questions that I may have. Her knowledge and always thinking safety comes through in her many safety checks before starting a shift and throughout a shift.
