At a time when patients and families are under duress, it is refreshing to interact with people who are friendly, personable, cheery, and knowledgeable. Cynthia was all of those things for our family.

She supported the patient with her professional knowledge when questions weighed on them. She supported the family as they waited for test results to come in. She used humor to distract the patient, who couldn't eat, as they waited for a delayed procedure.

All of these traits are welcoming to individuals who need support.
