A Google search regarding qualities of a good nurse revealed characteristics such as caring, compassion, empathy, sense of humor, resilience, and commitment to patient advocacy just to name a few. Cynthia Heady embodies all these qualities and then some! I have personally not worked with anyone with a bigger heart and ability to make a connection with patients than Cynthia. Her ability to be altruistic allows for true patient autonomy and the safeguarding of human dignity. She has a relentless commitment to patient advocacy and makes sure her patients’ voices are heard.
