Cynthia led a team of caregivers in my wife's treatment for congestive heart failure. She bonded with my wife from the moment they met. During Cynthia's first meeting with B and our family, she explained how hospice would work with us and how B would be treated as her condition progressed. She not only displayed compassion to B but also with our entire family as we asked numerous questions regarding her care. She was very patient and made us feel that we could ask for anything. She clearly walked us through various symptoms that B would be experiencing and how we could alleviate those symptoms. Cynthia helped us every step from changing bedclothes to administering oxygen and medication. She responded quickly to all of our questions and concerns. She also served as an advocate with B's doctor when we requested she be prescribed sleep medication. It meant a lot to our family that Cynthia attended B's wake, again showing us compassion over and above what her job required. Our family will always be grateful that we had Cynthia to help us through a very difficult time. Her compassion was a gift that helped us all.
