The reasons why you are an extraordinary Nurse Leader:
Cynthia volunteered to be East Campus’ Pediatric Emergency Care Coordinator, or PECC and took it one step further. She established the first Pediatric Emergency Care Coordination Committee for THOP, as recommended by the Institute of Medicine. Under Cynthia’s direction, this committee aims at ensuring that East Campus’s Emergency Department is pediatric-ready and can deliver high-quality care to this population.
As part of a national pediatric readiness project, she has led the committee in conducting a Pediatric Readiness Assessment, chart audits, and educating team members.
