Cynthia escalated the issue through many of her known contacts and received approval one hour prior to the ordering deadline!
Cynthia showed a strong commitment to excellence and extraordinary customer service. We had a patient who was to receive a very expensive treatment. The patient went through the prior authorization process, was approved, and then scheduled for her infusion. When the pharmacist went to order the drug, it was discovered that her insurance company information had changed, and the drug was no longer pre-approved. This was two days before the drug had to be ordered for on-time delivery.

Cynthia was contacted and started the prior authorization over again. She made numerous phone calls and escalated this through three different companies to get this approved in time to order the medication. She escalated the issue through many of her known contacts and received approval one hour prior to the ordering deadline! She was able to secure authorization for the patient’s treatment and her schedule did not need to be changed. The best part is that this nurse worked so hard for this patient, and the patient had no clue anyone was working in her corner to get her the medication she needed. This individual is a true rock star in compliance! This story shows the customer service and commitment she has for our patients!
