A co-worker recognized Cindy for persistently advocating for a patient. While rounding on her unit, Cindy overheard information that made her concerned for the patient's safety outside of the hospital. Cindy followed up by speaking privately with the patient and then contacting Social Work for assistance. Because of these efforts, the patient was protected from a potentially harmful situation.
