August 2017 Honoree
cynthia orbe, BSN, RN
Cindy is very patient and was an excellent preceptor to me 3 years ago and to all whom she precepted. She is an excellent charge nurse and colleague, sincere and has a good heart, always available for help at work and spiritually.
Cindy stayed physically and spiritually with one of our fellow nurses during her treatment for her lung and brain cancer. For six months she was frequenting another one of our nurse's home, taking her to her MD appointments and chemotherapy, and became like a member of their family and was present until her last breath.
Cindy arranged a prayer service at SW chapel and brought the 84-year-old mother, daughter, neighbor, and aunt of our coworker who passed away. At the service, her beautiful life was told by her mom, colleagues, and friends.
