Cindy would come in my room singing and smiling and gave me joy and hope when I was feeling defeated she helped me keep my emotions under control.
I started out my care in the hospital as an inmate. I was released after a few days but that did not change the remarkable care by Cindy. She made me feel comfort even though I wasn’t able to have visitors at first. I was given a diagnosis of cancer and a limited time to live. She became a shining star on the darkest of nights. The brain tumor that had recently been removed left me with limited comprehension and Cindy patiently explained my plan of care and the medication‘s that I needed to help me improve. When all the medical testing and treatment became overwhelming and my emotions were devastated, she came up with the phrase, “Keep it simple.” She uttered those three little words often when I needed encouragement. She would come in my room singing and smiling and gave me joy and hope when I was feeling defeated she helped me keep my emotions under control. She was kind, compassionate, and her skilled hands provided care that was beyond expectations.
