Cindy went above and beyond what I've seen a nurse do before. My dad was on a vent for 6 days and when they'd lighten sedation, I saw my dad gagging on the tube. He was incoherent and doesn't remember. I broke down for the first time in my life. I didn't feel like I was a strong enough person. Cindy cared for my dad and she talked to him even though he was in a coma. She was there to comfort me. I felt I could turn everything over to her - that Dad was well monitored and taken care of. We were too. Over and over she displayed the same comfort to us.
