Her unwavering support and commitment to clinical excellence have significantly impacted me, other students, and patients.
Cynthia Rathbone is one of the best clinical instructors I have had the pleasure of meeting and having during my clinical experience. She is a true role model of a professional holistic nurse and a mentor for professional learning. She comes to clinical every day, not only excited to teach us, but also to learn herself. Her unwavering support and commitment to clinical excellence have significantly impacted me, other students, and patients. I hope to be half the nurse professor Rathbone is one day.

This is one of the best professors I have ever had the pleasure of working with. Professor Rathbone goes out of her way to make sure all of us are learning and safe during clinical. She had pneumonia for the entire first half of the semester, yet still showed up and kept pushing us even when she was at her lowest. She is a team player and truly wants the best for all her students. I am really hoping I am able to work with her more in my adult 2 clinical rotation. She has brought out the spark in me I haven't seen in years, and makes me aspire to be a great nurse, just like her.

I am nominating Cynthia Rathbone for the DAISY Nurse Educator Award. She has had a substantial and lasting impact on me as a student nurse. Her clinical mindset is exceptional and has been honed over decades. But her ability to compile her knowledge and experience and convey it effectively to students is what distinguishes her as a professor. Cynthia has forever changed the way I view healthcare and how I carry myself as a clinician. There is no doubt in my mind that she is deserving of this award.
Note: This is Cynthia's 2nd DAISY Award!
