Cindy has been the Clinical Nurse Specialist for med/surg for many years and was a central educator prior to that. She has always been very involved in training new nurses and techs, making herself available on all shifts. She takes a personal interest in the success of her new graduate nurses as much as her seasoned nurses who are growing professionally into leadership positions. She is a collaborative team member who is happy to help other educators with their units and is quick to lend a hand in teaching classes that may not even apply to her staff. She is exceptionally knowledgeable in her field but is always willing (and eager) to learn new things. She has made such an impact on her unit's certification rate, the rate of Professional Advancement participants, and the unit's desire to conduct research studies - she has no equal! I am proud to call her a colleague and often sit in awe of her dedication to the success of her nurses, techs, and ancillary staff.
