It is a pleasure to nominate Cynthia Thompson, NA, from Nursing Unit 6D for the Daisy Award. Her many positive attributes include her willingness to go above and beyond. Patients comments that “We love Cynthia”, because she lifts our spirits with her inspiring words and spending time with us”. Another memorable moment was the compliment that she received from another Nurse Manager. On Father’s Day , the veterans were anxiously awaiting visitors and were concerned about getting shaved and groomed. Mrs. Thompson took the time to ensure that every veteran was shaved and properly groomed and ready to receive visitors and family. She comes early, stays late, floats to other units and works often on her day off when needed. It is my honor to nominate her for the Daisy award.
