Nurse Cyrus was very attentive, courteous, and professional throughout my stay. His shift was very busy, yet he still took the time to ensure my safety, comfort, and made sure I understood everything that I went through. This was an extremely traumatic experience for my family. I could not have any visitors and if I didn't make it out of ICU, I would have been alone. Cyrus took the time to take a couple of minutes to talk to my oldest son over the phone each day, to tell him of my condition and treatment. My son relayed this information to all of my family and friends. One night I advised Cyrus that an area on my body was extremely painful. He thoroughly questioned me about the characteristics of my pain. The pain was extreme and had developed very quickly. He gave me medication for the pain but that did not help. Cyrus talked to the night doctor. I was taken to get an image of the area in question. Not too long after, I was taken in for another image to better visualize the problem area. It turns out that I had a vessel that was leaking blood. I was then scheduled for a procedure early the next morning. The procedure was performed, and the problem was rectified. Had Cyrus not acted quickly and efficiently this could have been a major problem. I am grateful that the course of action was taken and that I was not just treated with medication. Cyrus made my time in the hospital comfortable and very acceptable, and for my family, very comforting and hopeful.
