My husband was hospitalized for eight days to treat severe issues developing with chronic kidney disease. During his stay at MultiCare Yakima Memorial Yakima, he received excellent care by the entire team inclusive of the ER staff prior to being admitted. It means the world to family when your loved one is at risk, and the medical staff is kind, respectful, extraordinarily knowledgeable, and highly skilled. Being older and feeling vulnerable, it was especially comforting to have a nurse, Dacia, be so sensitive and respectful. While Dacia performed her nursing duties extremely well, she was engaging and supportive while taking care of my husband. She provided emotional assurance and demonstrated a manner that made him feel cared for, that he mattered, and was not just one more patient. Dacia's smile and attention to details intermittently checking with G as a person was amazingly comforting. G felt as though he could relax, request what he needed, and ask questions. Dacia's personable behavior while being completely professional is exceptional. Thank you, MultiCare Yakima Memorial Hospital for providing stellar service from the ER to an extended stay and discharge with explicit information and directions.
