Daiana Ruiz, RN
Our unit is new, with several new team members including Daiana. Daiana is always thoughtful and considerate of patients and caregivers with language barriers. Spanish is a language Daiana speaks fluently and she is always willing to take that patient assignment. The gratitude expressed by family and other team members is phenomenal. Recently as part of RNs understanding the daily readiness survey, Daiana has gone over and beyond to inform other nurses of what to look for as well as assisting another nurse with the list for the first time. Daiana advocates and collaborates with the social worker on the unit to ensure our patients are discharged safely. I appreciate Daiana's willingness to be a team player without resistance, it comes naturally.
