daisy carrillo, RN, BSN
Daisy joined SVMHS as a new grad RN in the Comprehensive Cancer Center and is now working in the Cancer Resource Center where her compassionate care for patients undergoing medical treatment is notable to all around her. A fellow nurse in the Cancer Resource Center submitted her DAISY Award nomination.
Daisy's co-worker wrote in her nomination that Daisy provides extraordinary care for all patients and in various situations and goes above and beyond in taking their care to the next level. One example the colleague recalled involved a patient who had a hard time keeping appointments due to a lack of transportation. Daisy provided Uber cards and assisted him in finding housing closer to his appointments. She even helped him with the application process and enlisted staff to help with basic apartment necessities.
