Daisy Edwards, RN, has an amazing heart for people, and she is committed to making sure every patient has the resources needed for the best outcomes! Daisy's assignment includes many patients who lack resources, insurance, and even the knowledge of self-advocacy to be able to ascertain needs to improve recovery following hospitalization. She has taken it upon herself to use her own resources to gather DME and supplies from friends, family, and local yard sales, even including her family out of state, who collected items for Daisy to bring back to GA from FL. She and her husband clean, repair, store, and then distribute items to those in need. She seeks out information and shares it with the entire team so that we can all improve resources within the NGPG service area. She is an asset to the organization and just a "gem" to all who meet her. (she also deserves a DAISY Award for her nursing excellence).  An example would be when a patient did not have insurance or the resources for DME, but the patient needed a hospital bed. Daisy Edwards had one in her personal storage and made arrangements to get it to the patient's home.
