Daisy was recruited to be our son's primary nurse by his primary day nurse, the second week he was in the NICU. Our son is officially being discharged tomorrow after 165 days in the NICU. Daisy has been caring for him almost since his birth. Daisy has repeatedly gone above and beyond in caring for our son during his time in the NICU. Whether it was picking up an overtime shift (which she did countless times), to ensure he was "ready" for the wide variety of test he went through on a daily basis or taking the time to teach my wife and I the proper ways to care for our son. Through all of the progressions and setbacks, he went through or volunteering to sacrifice planned trips with friends and family to care for our son. This gave my wife and me peace of mind knowing we could rest easy because "Daisy is working". Daisy has pushed, coached, urged, nursed, and cared for our son like he was her own. We know that he wouldn't have gotten through all of the adversity he has faced in 5 months if it had not been for the loving and selfless care that Daisy has given him.
