To Nursing Supervisor Valleywise 4th Floor. Hello, my name is D. I write you today to praise a nurse who works on the 4th floor named Daisy (I hope I spelled her name right and hope it is the floor she worked on). Please read this letter entirely, I also wrote the Arizona State Board of Nursing too. About 2 weeks ago, I was there at Valleywise for a suicide attempt for swallowing metal. I was put, I believe, on the 4th floor and my nurse was RN Daisy. While there, she was extremely respectful, polite, kind and caring. I truly admire her. Miss Daisy went out of her way to make sure I was comfortable. I had an issue with the kitchen, who for 2 hours still hadn’t brought me my food. I didn’t accept it when they did bring it (going on 32 hours with no food) because, out of anger, I lost my appetite, and I was set to leave. Someone told Daisy I hadn’t eaten and she brought me a sandwich to eat and talked me into eating it. I was planning on cutting when I got back because of my anger and told Daisy. She took the time to speak with me and talked me out of it. I’ve cut over 200 times in the last 26 years, very bad too, so Daisy could’ve very well saved my life too! I believe Daisy deserves some sort of praise like a gift of some sort, she’s amazing and I do wish her the best in life. Thank you for the time reading my letter. Sincerely, D.
