Daisy M Kurian, BSN, RN, CVRN

I was in the hospital to have my toe amputated. I was very depressed about the amputation of my toe, and Daisy built me up and made me feel better. She helped me accept what was happening to me. Daisy took the time to explain in detail what the MD and nursing staff were doing for my amputation, reduce the risk of infection, and prevent further amputations. She made me feel safe and treated me like a family member. Daisy follows through was great, but best of all was her smile and optimism. UTMB is very lucky to have Daisy.

Daisy was extraordinary! She has such a positive attitude; you can tell she really cares about her patients. Always a smile and so helpful. Every nurse should be like her! Daisy deserves every award possible.
