Daisy jumped right in and has been doing a tremendous job.
I know we are supposed to write a story about the great care an RN provided, but I think this quarter we should recognize this RN for the amazing job she is doing here at CMC. Daisy started with us at Christ at the end of 2021; by the beginning of 2022, she was a member of the PDC (Professional Development Council) and volunteered to be the chair of the DAISY Award subcommittee. Daisy had not previously been involved with DAISY and had never even attended a PDC meeting. I had mentioned to her that they could not find a volunteer for it and that it was a lot of work. Daisy said she would do it without hesitation even after I stressed to her how much work it involves. Daisy jumped right in and has been doing a tremendous job. She is doing it mostly by herself. There is a lot of work involved behind the scenes in recognizing all of the nominees. She has spent hours of her own time at home trying to find the perfect balloons for the ceremony. (Which she did!) Daisy came in early & stayed late to make sure everything was done and ready on time. I think it is hard enough to start over in a new organization, much less join a committee and take on such an important and time-consuming role. Daisy has also become a very valuable team member in Cardio diagnostics. We are thrilled that she made the move and became an Advocate Aurora Team member. Also, I think Daisy should wear a DAISY pin??
