Dakota deserves the DAISY Award a million times over. She was truly an angel during one of the most emotional and life-changing experiences of my life. From the moment I arrived at the hospital, she made me feel safe, seen, and supported. She took time to listen to my concerns, explained every step of the process with patience, and never once made me feel like just another patient. Nurses like her are the reason patients feel safe, cared for, and truly seen. She is the heart of what nursing is all about.
